We take the time to go over literally every inch of your rug. We test for dye stability and identify stains and any worn or damaged areas that could be problematic during the cleaning process. Every fiber type, such as wool, cotton, silk, viscose, etc., reacts differently to cleaning. Once we inspect the rug, we can design the best method approach for your specific rug, ensuring it gets the best treatment possible.
Even after a thorough vacuuming, fine dust particles build up in the deepest recesses and bottoms of the fibers and become “caught,” so much so that vacuuming will not altogether remove them. We use various methods of shaking the dust loose, from a safe and gentle rug beater that provides “harmonic vibration” to remove all the dust, to air dusting.
After all the dust and particulates are thoroughly and completely removed from the rug, we proceed to the custom-built wash floor. We never mix your rugs with others (you wouldn’t sit in someone else’s bath water either!). We do this to ensure there is no cross-contamination. Because not all rugs should be washed the same way, we clean each rug with the most effective and safest method for that specific rug.
We employ the most effective odor control treatment during and after the cleaning process to ensure your rugs are fresh, sanitary, clean, and happy.
Because of the varying nature of rug fibers, backing materials, and construction, we utilize the correct drying method for each rug. Whether laid flat with high-velocity air movement or hung in our drying area with air temperature and humidity controls, we will be sure to dry your rugs and groom the fibers and fringe to ensure the best finishing touch!
After the process is complete, we inspect your rug again to ensure it is perfectly cleaned and finished. You will be happy that your rug has been appropriately cared for.
We highly recommend a fabric protector for your rug, which is an additional charge. It gives you extra time to attend to a spill before it soaks into the rug, possibly creating a permanent stain!
